Horsetooth Falls
I had taken yesterday and today off to enjoy some spring break time with the kids. Yesterday was a trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Today was a hike to Horsetooth Falls.
The kids were energetic throughout. The waterfall was only a trickle but that is more than I expected given how dry it has been. The kids didn't complain even though they need some good hiking shoes. I guess when you get to play in a waterfall and explore a 'cave' there isn't time to complain. Sadly, the camera died before that part.

Fat and Shaved
Well this picture is over a month old at this point. He doesn't look quite so silly anymore. We have finally found a brand of litter that he seems to love and there are few if any surprises around the house for us. I think if he keeps it up even Carrie will come around to him.
Of course just as one pet problem disappears another arises. Over the last couple days, Ruby has not been walking well. Hip issues are a common lab problem. Nothing is more heartbreaking then seeing an old dog hobble around. She is only seven and I thought we might have a couple more years before we had to deal with 'old dog' issues but I guess not.
